About Home Laboratory

Home Laboratory is an open source collective that has successfully revived PlayStation Home to an operational state using our own server software.

Our initiative recreates a development environment similar to Sony's original framework, while adding thousands of developer-focused features designed to empower both creators and users. This is not merely a restoration but a substantial evolution of the PlayStation Home experience you remember.

Technical Enhancements

Real-Time Systems

We've developed a web-based system for inventory management and a versatile remote control system accessible via PC web browser, like an RTM tool on steroids.

File Tools & Content

Our utilities can unpack and repack all PlayStation Home file types, and we support user-created content that can be deployed online for multiplayer interaction.

XMB Integration

With the latest PS3 4.92 HEN update and Evilnat 4.92 CFW release, we've restored the PlayStation Home icon to the XMB, replicating its original functionality.
